Manual therapies consist of soft tissue mobilisation, such as massage therapy, and joint mobilisation, such as stretching and range of motion.
Joint mobilisations can help to increase range of motion and reduce stiffness in joints, while massage therapy assists with increasing blood flow and relieving muscle tension.
Available electrotherapy services include:
Heat/cold therapy,
Laser therapy (Photizo),
TENS
Heat therapy helps to remove fluid from tissues, restore blood flow, and relieve stiffness due to increased tissue flexibility. Cold therapy further reduces pain and limits swelling up to 48 hours after injury.
Laser therapy effectively relieves muscle spasms and pain, aiding in the treatment of musculoskeletal issues, whilst TENS further aids in pain reduction.
